WISHING YOU ALL A HAPPY NEW YEAR

Dear friends, I want to thank you all, for your kind friendships through
the year, very soon , gone. It is always a joy to see you here, and to
read your comments , and you are all treasured in my life !!

This is from Christmas Eve, with all the candles lit , all over.

And here we were on a beautiful tour , on the island, climping
up to 70 meter over the water , it was a very lovely and happy day !!

My darling grandchild with me, on Christmas Eve , with the tree
behind us, still not with the candles lit .

And with this frosty,-  in Danish called :Student Carnation ,
because of the tiny size it has, - I will welcome January , and
wish you all Happy New Year , and all the best of health and
and love, for the coming 2019 .

Many hugs and much love to you all,
Dorthe

A BLESSED CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL !!

My dear friends , with this creation I wish you all a very Merry and Blessed Christmas .

Being a member of   https://mixedupcreative.com/ I got very inspiret of a creation made
by Lena Holmström , and by her tutorial shoving ,how she carve into a book , in this shabby way,-
and I made my own version in this old Danish book.

Maria and the child greeted by lovely deer in the wood , behind the deer is a piece of
the Nativity of Jesus ,in French , and a branch - and pieces of lace,  flowers and berries on the side of Maria and Jesus  ,

My dear daughter , the grandkids and her x-husband will all celebrate
Christmas here with us, and them arriving today, I think it is time to wish
you all the most beautiful Christmas , as time will not be spend much
online while they are with us .

Much love and hugs to you and see you
before the New Year is celebrated

Sunday tour ....and collage

Dear friends , a part of a collage , made, using Lynne`s newest stamps, and
an older one too- I love her  style as you well know !
They are to find here , if you are interested in buying them :

Yesterday my husband and I visited a beautiful part of  the island,
to see the glory of nature, while still leaves on the trees.

We also walked the beach and found a lovely handful of stones with
holes in, made by the Baltic Sea through years and years .... they
were brought home , and will be hung on a string, later.

Here the sea, - it was very windy  yesterday, and lots
of whitecaps on the seat , cold but beautiful.

I hope you all had a lovely Sunday, and wishes you all the best for the coming week .

A little play it teabags .

I have saved used teabags for several years, and today I just had to try using
some, for a little collaged creation.

It is so lovely to sit with tiny creations, and find scraps from
earlier pieces, which are useful now.

As you can maybe see there are 8 different things
added to the bag. I hope you like it .

Happy rest of the week to you all, and
thank you so much for visiting .

MYSTERY AWAITS

Yes a little mystery from me, today, now getting closer to Halloween .

The base is a Chunkie  from That`s Crafty
where I just did not use the front.

Apart from that, also the brick stencil , texture paste and spray colors --
, Lynne`s stamp of wildflower, and text  ,-plus the raven ,
are all their own products. The sweet Tim Holz girls are also bought there.

I used Lynne `s wildflower as background , together with old lace,
combined with torn sacking , the sweetest mini pumpkins, and
some favorite nature finds , and it was finished .

I hope you like this little and not too scary Halloween creation.

Wishing you all a very lovely weekend , dear friends .

Velvet lace and paper.

Hello friends,
I `m here with another mix of my favorite ,-papers and fabrics.

holes to sew in .
The beautiful head stamp, is a gift from my dearest friend, Lynne,
and the dried flower from another very dear friend, Sharon.https://www.instagram.com/shoofly400/

The paper doily is also a gift ,and also from a dear friend,
Sherry ,- thank you to all 3 of you, for your constant support
and beautiful friendships .

As you know I love Lynne`s Affirmations, so had to use one here, too.

I hope your weekend was a good one, and that you are ready for the new week

My first post for long, showing my old style !!

A little new creation, with some favorite materials, old torn fabric ,
a dried leaf, and a lovely image.

I found the tag in a local shop, made ready for embroidery, and
used it for my fantasy flowers.
It was first sprayed with diluted brown paint.

The lovely face was adhered together with the pearls
and on top a corrugated cardboard crackled first , I added
the leaf and word, from one of Lynne`s stampsets.
Sequins

Here a close up , for you.
I hope you like my collaged card -

WHISPER SECRETS INTO THE WIND !!

I`m here with the first autumn theme for That`s Crafty Challenge : Forever Autumn   https://thatscraftychallenges.blogspot.com/

The choice was to start using one of  the MDF panels onto which
I painted white and while wet added a little black, to achieve this grey tone.
When dry  I used the beautiful swallow stencil using Black gesso dapping with
a hard brush.

I left to dry, and meanwhile onto a find from my garden, a dry leaf, smeared
a little of the gorgeous Antique Gold. A greyboard leaf was stamped with
one of Melina`s doodled leaves , Lime Lustre was painted in the doodled frame,
and Antique Gold and Metallic  Rose Gold painted onto the leaf. Also a tiny berry
branch was painted white on the berries ,and a dot of gold, too.

The swallow now dry was given details with white and gold smeared together,
and a white dot for the eye. On two edges I used the Stitch stencil, with a blackFine liner .
The Affirmation was partly stamped directly on the left side panel , and onto two pieces of
scrap paper from my table .

Also a piece of rusted fabric , ( a lovely gift from Lynne ) was found on the tabel,
and adhered to panel. On top the leaves and the branch- and lastly the stamped paper scraps.

I hope you are not tired from reading , lol.

THE POWER OF YOU IS UNSTOPPABLE !!

Here I am with number two part of the August Challenge

This time using a piece of the fantastic white cardstock from the Journal Kit , for the background,
onto another scrap paper cardstock, I stamped one of Lynne`s lovely wildflowers, in Archival ink,
and after sprayed with the Flat Matte Aqua , diluted with water.

Onto another scrap this time from a greyboard tag I cut in two,
not long ago, I painted White,
and when dry stamped Donna`s cute dog - he was painted with different
brown watercolour pencils , and a "tree trunk" painted on his left side , with
a few white doodles -

Melina`s beautiful butterfly was stamped ,twice, onto
ricepaper, ,also from the Journal kit, sprayed with Aqua Flat Matte, they were fussy cut and adhered together
with the Gloss gel Medium , making it a bit stiffer , and bendable .

The butterfly was painted details , using a white Posca pen,
and around the perimeter of the wild flower scrap I smeared
some of the Chestnut Brown .
A piece of Corrugated Cardboard from the kit ,and a gauze piece ,were both also sprayed with
Bluebell  Flat Matte- and after dry layered onto the cardstock, -the gauze under the wildflower piece , and on top the dog, now , with a little lace piece  with added flower.
Butterfly was adhered to right upper corner.
Lastly Lynne`s Affirmation was stamped to paper also treated with Aqua , cut into 3, and adhered .

HIDING........

Dear friends, we have a new CHALLENGE over at

This months it is called : ANIMAL MAGIC

and as you can see I used one of Donna Grey`s wonderful quirky stamps,
of her cat Fred.
I started painting a greyboard panel with  Ivory , and when dry used the  Decorative Leaf
stencil , using Texture Paste ,  and onto the paste I sprinkled  Baked Texture , Ancient Amber,
and left to dry .
I then found a smaller pannel, I wanted to stamp Fred the cat onto, and chose to do it on
the with of panel, and after cut to fit the size of the big panel.

I painted it with Mint and when dry stamped Fred using Archival Ink,
for the ink not to bleed . He was colored using watercolor pencils, in brown
tones. I wanted him to hide behind curtains, and ferns, and had a piece of rusted teabag
paper, on my table, which was perfect .
(you can rust papers, rolling them around some rusted items, place them in a container
and add a little water and vinegar- )
I tore the paper to fit the panel and adhered with a very thin layer of adhesive .
After I stamped the fish bone , from same stamp , in 3 places, and defined the eyes and
fish heads a bit , using white Sharpie.

The stenciled leaf now dry , was heated with my Heat Gun to change to a beautiful golden raised texture, and after , sprayed with Lustre Spray Aqua , which again
was sprayed with water to make it run a bit , down the panel.which was left to dry.
In between I stenciled some letters, -spelling Hiding - onto a reused brown paperbag, using Texture Paste - after dried they were cut out .
Fred panel was now adhered to the middle long panel ,

and the Fern stencil used to create a little fern hide away around him,
using Chestnut Brown paint dabbed onto the stencil , with a dry brush.
Lastly the letters were placed on top and button of panel , and black
ink smeared around the perimeter .

If you had the patience to read it all, I thank you , and send you
all good wishes for today. Please read below, if you want to be a part of the challenge ,
and have fun !!

EMBRACE THE QUIET MOMENTS

DEAR FRIENDS,  we are on round two, in this months CHALLENGE :
CLOSE TO NATURE .
Here is my panel this Wednesday .
I hope you would like to play with us, and maybe win a price .

It is a tag ,onto which I first stenciled , using the Abstract Grid, around
the perimeter , dabbing with Buttercup paint.
I found two old lace scratches, lying around , and placed them one under the other.
Then I stenciled the leaves using Texture Paste , and partly covering
the old lace.

When dry one of the beautiful roses from the rose stencil, was
also added using Texture Paste, and on the bottom the grid stencils was
used again ,with texture paste, too.
After all dried ,I mixed Flat Matte spray Rose, with diluted Chestnut Brown,
onto my craftmat- and with lots of water added it to the panel ,very carefully,
not to cover the grid.

Also I draw lines, around roses and leaves to give more attention to them,
using a gold brown aquaralle pencil,- and leaves were dabbed with Butternut and white
paint here and there.
Onto scratch of old book paper, I stamped one of the new Affirmations
created by Lynne .
Lastly another piece of the old lace was attached to the tag hole on top.
